DATE: Saturday, March 24
This camp is available to all Bears Family members, their friends, and family who are 5th-8th grade. This camp will be hosted by La Habra High School Head Coach Frank Mazzotta and his staff. Coach Mazzotta’s program have been Freeway League Champions 9 out of the last 10 years. His teams have won CIF in 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. This week Coach Mazzotta’s program had two players sign full Division I football scholarships to PAC-12 schools UCLA and Washington State. More information will follow. Please keep the date in mind for your calendaring purposes.

Interim Director Morgan introduced the agenda item and briefed the Commission on the Policy Regarding Parks and Recreation Commission-Recognized Youth Sports Organizations. Interim Director Morgan introduced Mr. Fred Jung with Fullerton Junior All-American Football, who in turn gave a brief overview of his organization and answered questions from the Commission.
Hills High School for field use. Mr. Jung answered no. Commissioner Hayes asked for clarification on the request for partner status since they already have field usage at Sunny Hills High School. Mr. Jung stated that they would like Fullerton Junior All-American Football recognized as a partner group to legitimize
their organization, possibly provide storage and help alleviate storage costs, and
obtaining a field for their spring season. Interim Director Morgan noted that partner youth organization contact information is included in the Fullerton Connect brochure mailed to Fullerton residents three times a year.

Fundraisers are essential to function of youth sports and for those of you who still have outstanding player/cheerleader balance dues that remain unpaid, these fundraisers are an outstanding avenue for those tuition dues to be paid without sacrificing moneys that may not be readily available in these current economic difficulties.
Please note, if your player/cheerleader is a scholarship awardee or scholarship candidate: the fundraiser is mandatory. It is a mandatory obligation that you as a parent agreed to as part of being awarded the Bears Family Scholarship.

Bears Junior All American Football players are invited to attend the Martin Bayless/La’Roi Glover Football Camp for FREE.
NFL players scheduled to appear include New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, Philadelphia Eagle wide received DeSean Jackson, Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, San Diego Chargers running back Darren Sproles, and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

The Booster Club provides much needed and appreciated funding for the Bears Family Scholarship Fund, which aids the Fullerton Bears Family in granting much deserved aid to lower income families and families in need during this critical economical period. Fullerton Junior All American Bears is proud to announce sign ups for the 2011 Spring Football season are underway for 7 on 7 Passing League, flag football and Lineman Iron Man Competitions. Practices will begin in February and March and games will follow in April, May, June, and July.
